The Greatest Day of Our Lives

"If you want something to last forever, you treat it differently... It becomes special because you have made it so." - F. Burton Howard

The day I had been waiting for ever since I was a little girl finally came on August 17, 2013; the day Dallin and I were sealed for eternity. I can't even describe the excitement, joy, and the peaceful Spirit that was felt that day in the Idaho Falls temple as I knelt across the alter from the sweet man I loved and would spend eternity with. Tears came to my eyes as I felt the love of our Savior warming my heart and reassuring me that I was doing the right thing. I felt joy and happiness as we were surrounded by the people we love.  We could feel the support and love they had for both of us. I had the best day of my life that day, because I knew I had prepared myself well to enter into the holy temple where I was sealed to my companion for eternity. I knew that I would spend each day with him as we grew closer to each other and our Savior. Nothing could make me happier than going through trials and experiencing joy with Dallin and one day starting a family of our own where we could raise our children in the gospel, so they can experience the same happiness. I know that because I have made these special covenants in the temple, and if I continue to keep them, I will some day live with my Father in Heaven again along with Dallin and our families. The temple brings many blessings into our lives and I am so blessed to be apart of this wonderful gospel, so I can experience as much happiness as possible.

My sister-in-law Whitnie did so much to help me with my wedding and reception. She did such a good job decorating and making our day so special.

Whitnie's aunt made our cake. I loved it!

"If you want something to last forever you treat it differently. You shield it and protect it. You never abuse it. You don't expose it to the elements. You don't make it common or ordinary. If it ever becomes tarnished, you lovingly polish it until it gleams like new. It becomes special because you have made it so, and it grows more beautiful and precious as time goes by."

P.S. If you haven't read or listened to the talk, "Eternal Marriage" by F. Burton Howard, I encourage you to because it is amazing!
